Beginner’s Smoothie

Yields: 2 servings
Ingredients:
3-4 stalks Celery
1 bunch Kale or 6 cups Spinach
6 cups Mixed Lettuce or Romaine Lettuce
1 Pear
1/2 Banana
1 cup ice and 3 cups water
Directions:
This is my beginner’s smoothie for those whose taste buds are not quite used to greens just yet. It’s very tasty and kids love it too. I give a few different options if you want to try different mixes. After a few weeks of this beginner smoothie take out the banana and add more greens.
I say this makes enough for two servings because I drink a huge jar of any smoothie I make. If you are only drinking a glass it is enough for four servings.
Put 2 cups of water in a high-speed blender and blend the greens & celery until smooth.
Add in one pear (cored), 1/2 banana, or a palm sized amount of your favorite food. All organic of course.
Blend until smooth! Add a cup of ice if you like your smoothies extra cold!
